Hello from Norton UK

TVS are a professional multi billion dollar company, they won't have cash flow problems, so spare parts will be (lets hope) far easier to obtain. Their QA process for new bikes produced should be all nailed down and known faults fixed. I bet SS as an engineer is enjoying more freedom to sort and rectify known issues.

A new era beckons

Don't forget the Skalbanias and the Aquilini's had bigger fortunes than TVS even today, and the result was ?? You can have as many billions as you like, does not mean you will succeed.

Past owners of Norton, remember them? Myron Calof was a front man for one of them.
Today one of them has more billions than TVS, so TVS with their big bank balance are not the first. They had TM issues back then, just as TVS do today.
These owners were both in ownership not that many years ago.

Just out of curiosity, do you or have you owned a electric vehicle?
Because if you knew more you wouldn’t make this statement. In a Tesla, the battery has a warranty as follows.
show me a gasoline vehicle with a engine warranty better than this.
My son was telling me he put down a deposit on a Tesla pickup that'll be made here in Austin. Warranty sounds too good to be true, but I have an UGLY feeling the government will be backing this where Tesla makes money on the taxpayer's backs. Without subsidies, all electrical endeavors in the automotive and solar industries would FAIL.

Remember the UK and it’s LPG subsidies.
Good old Gordon Brown!

Last I heard SS had gone, so all new now. The problems would not have been his to resolve, as TVS have some super automotive electronic design centres in the far East, one has developed a new fuel injection system that looks to be the way forward.
Quality and parts, just look at what they did for BMW last year, according to the global motorcycle trade publications they produced 13% of their models last year, so if they have quality issues then l would be surprised.
I think any part supply for their own new models will be OK, but the 961 patchy due to the Chinese involvement and ownership, the V4 would depend on numbers sold. Spare parts are a thorn in the side for many motorcycle manufacturers, what to hold, how many to make and store and for how long costs money for it to be just sat there. I would expect any spares system to be no better than the likes of Ducati at best.

Zero Motorcycles come with a 10% tax rebate, if that's considered a subsidy. During the last 4 years, every large corporation got a lot bigger tax rebate than that. Would they, too, have failed without it?

I have no way of knowing, but there it is. Every one who has been paying taxes, has been assisting Zero Motorcycles, and all their clients.

...and I didn't get so much as a 'thank you'. Harumph!

t'aint right.

Not everyone, just the citizens of California where Zero's are made. You should be so indignant about supporting Chase Manhattan Bank and Wells Fargo (the financial institution, not the cowboy tv show).

I am a bit disappointed in the Norton website. Broken links, hardly any news, social media etc. Multibillion pound owners, think they could do better. We all want them to thrive but they need to entice us

See TVS have employed Tim Prentice, the designer of the Triumph Thunderbird and Street Triple. Not sure what part of TVS he will be working for though. With his credentials, could be the next Nortons.

Good News , Keep us posted , Thanks .

Lets hope it is as attractive and successful as the Morgan EV;

Looks like they are busy (not) doing other things - Available pubilicly without log in on the US TESS website. Maybe a discussion with Thoams Norton prior to legal action could have helped. Looks like both will lose - you could not make this up.
