Have any V4s been delivered?

That's at the Original Tea Hut in High Beech, Epping Forest - it's a PITA to get out when its busy - I often see many "paddling" with poor steering locks as the metal boxes park blocking the small access road and those driving in don't often give way - he isn't the first to drop it there and won't be the last!
High Beech? That used to be my local in late 80's early 90's, it was a friendly meeting place, mostly couriers, and not a car in sight back then.

This could be a great place to have a 961 meet end of September? http://www.originalteahut.com/

I feel for the bloke, it’s not so easy to remain 100% coherent when a hundred people or more are watching / photographing / videoing you like that. Add to that, it’s a new bike he hasn’t had very long etc.

And now, after waiting years for his bike, it’s gonna have to go back to the factory for repair..

It’ll probably be out of warranty by the time he gets it back...

If you are just a little bit squeemish then DO NOT LOOK at this photo sequence....

Looking good as he departs the bike park....

darn, 3 seconds later and he finds out that the steering lock is just as bad as on the 961.....

So who's the meatball in front of the bike with his hand out in frame 2? And why was he standing in front of the bike. Was he going to catch it??

I can never seem to dock my boat as well on a windy day when 50 people are watching me. No one watching I can thread a needle with it.

Not convinced, it looks like he has made the turn and is just about to apply power as you can see his hand move, then nothing which catches him out.

Yes, and the number of kicks required to start a Classic Norton is directly proportional to the amount of people watching..

I think that’s a good spot, it does indeed look like the bike almost stalls, and catches him out.

But with the sound on, it sounds to me like he’s revving the bike extremely slowly (maybe trying to keep the noise down) and I wonder if he therefore caused the ‘almost stall’ ?

Mmmmm, I agree he appears to be caught out by a non responsive throttle. He tries to accelerate away (albeit slowly) and does not get any drive. He’s on uneven ground and over he goes. Got to feel sorry for the guy, with a ‘wry smile on yer diel’. Mechanical/electronics failure or rider error? Guess we’ll never know.

Fueling glitch ?

I must admit that I did exactly the same on my Daytona. I wasn’t using enough revs, it stalled and was down before I had a chance to get my foot to the floor.

Yep, I did exactly that on a Daytona 1200. It was doing it in a turn that caught me out, would have been ok if straight. Now that was a heavy bike.

I would think that there are many issues that the factory has to get straight before actually producing acceptable units for customers.
Pray that they do this properly, and don't repeat the 961 mistakes.
No one wants hasty pudding models assembled and sent to customers.
Let them take their time.

It appears that at least one guy has paid Norton 44k for a v4 up front, 3 years later no bike? Figure it out

At least lets hope he is not in debt for it ! And he has decided that it is worth the wait maybe ? I may invest in Norton just for fun ! That way they will understand when I attack them on this website for making me wait so long for my 961 parts.
