where does one get a relay for 961? Mine says 110313 but I can’t seem to find any info?
 
Order from Norton or AF1 Racing Austin or Indian Orange County
 
My starter solenoid relay failed, also had intermittent starting of fuel pump. Just changed out 4 relays for genuine Honda part 38502-MCS-G01. $7.67 each from Partzilla. They are Omron brand made in Japan so should be good quality. Do your own research but they seem to work well.

Omron Honda part on left. Omron relay appear to be sealed , Norton not so.
Omron weighs a bit more too , .70 oz. vs .55 oz.
Omron coil resistance = 118 ohm , Norton supplied 85 ohm
Omron normally closed contact resistance = .1 ohm , Norton supplied .2 ohm

Package size is very similar , there are clip points on the Omron not used on the Norton . Omron is just a bit taller . All in all a great find ! Keep the OEM relay for the schematic diagram written on it for troubleshooting purposes . My bike originally came with the black relays not shown here . Again ,Thanks to TrevorPacker ..

Hey Trevor , Which relay was on your bike when it gave you trouble ? The blue or black one shown here ? I do not know what Norton is shipping currently , but the last time I purchased them last year they sent the blue type. The black relay here was on my bike since new and have not failed yet . As you can see in the photo I have changed (all six relays on the bike) over to the Omron Honda relays for testing .

Richard 07. How many relays under your tank do you have on your 13? I only have one and am still baffled by this.

Mine is a 2013 with just one relay, which is for the fuel level warning light. The manual, which I got in 2013, shows two relays in that position and describes them as "Engine Stop" and "Fuel Light" relays. The wiring diagram shows a "Fuel W/L Relay " and a "Power Down Relay", but only the former exists in that position on the bike. But then again the wiring diagram shows a "Map Sensor" which also isn't on the bike.

The second relay is for crank time lights off . This came out later in the Post December 2013 schematic. Does your headlamp go off when you crank the engine ? If not , this is the relay you don't have. Then after Norton went back to the Omex in 2016 they got rid of the crank time lights off relay . A power down relay was added again with the tip over sensor assy soild state package . Some time back this year I posted the PRE December and POST December 2013 schematics. These both use the SC ECU from new unless you upgraded to the OMEX afterwards like iwilson or Richard-7 did .
