All I'm saying is that it Matt (CNW) can get someone to make classic Roadster tanks, and he can sell them at a profit for $495, then sure as shit, those same people can make an affordable 961 Commando tank as well.
I don't think Matt is selling huge numbers of replacement tanks.
There can't be very many owners buying these.
Yes they are obviously needed.
We do know that there are quite a few 961 owners that are disenchanted with their nylon Acerbis tanks.
These folks have the disposable income to spring for a new, hopefully well made, steel replacement tank, certainly if they paid $20K for their bikes.
Matt believes these tanks are good quality. That's good enough for me.
If CNW was to request their supplier to build two different replacement tanks, it could only reduce the cost per unit.
Volume discount.
I'm not a businessman, but Matt is.
