Just a quick reminder for people living in the UK and are trying to get a few quick laps in before the winter,
The sun is now getting low.

Fitted heated grips on mine last year so sunny sunday mornings, you will find me adding some miles and an inch to my waistline with sausage and egg sarnies in the leicestershire countryside coffee shops. I think I am up to around 3.5K miles per year between two bikes now

Do you use your 961 through the winter even when the roads are covered in salt,
I use ACF 50 on my other bikes applied with a spray gun.
If so how is it holding up?
Had a 650 Versys once used in the winter and you could watch it bio-degrade in front of your eyes.

Like any bike in the winter, be prepared, mine has held up pretty well on close inspection,I got caught with salt on road & didn’t wash off straight away, the nuts holding the exhaust headers on went off a bit & the engine mount plates have stone chips which have opened up the paint cause a bit of rust,so a job in the garage one evening to sought at some point ,put posts couple of pics next few days

This is an area where the Brit manufacturers were light years ahead of the Japanese. Even today, no Japanese manufacturer has come up with anything as effective as the External Oil Distribution Corrosion Protections Systems developed by the Brits...

I only go out on dry days and give it a wipe down later that night. I don't do the wheels that much though but they seem to be unmarked so far. Maybe I need to get a can and start wiping down the harder to get bits.
