IAM and Flange

I've posted in the past the bike idling when hot up to 2400 rpm and found the IAM flange bolts loose, tightened and it corrected the symptom for a 1,000 or 2 miles until loosened again. Did this procedure 3 to 4 times so I don't think it was coincidental.

That said, yesterday after a decent harder than usual ride, 70 to 85 for 60 miles, the bike was idling 1800 to 2000 rpm at stops after getting of the highway.
Also, the idle drops to 800 rpm and then makes the choice of catching itself and normalizing or simply stalling.
Checked the flange. The bolts are actually tight, but there is a gap on the bottom of the flange. Don't want to strip anything.

Would any of you consider making a gasket for this flange if you had this problem?
Is it possible the IAM is going bad?
On my friends 8 cylinder boat, Mercruiser, the IAC valve goes bad constantly and needs to be replaced. Wonder if this is the case.
Should I separate the flange and spray a cleaner of any sort in there like a throttle body cleaner?

Having a great time accumulating miles. Just a bit frustrated by this reoccurring phenomena.

IAM? For the less techy!
Idle Air Motor.
And I'm pretty much the least techy on the forum. Learning as I go along. These bikes teach you quite a bit.

Re: Max...Mr. Green, Rob, Max, so many others. I could care less as long as the parts are being manufactured and we can get them. Even difficult to get consumables like O rings for oil changes and cush drive grommets here. I'm due for both. Which leads me to another subject. That Bridgestone Battlemax only has 4K on it and is pretty well worn. Going back to Dunlop Q
