The last day...

Last Ferry ride we watched a very full of himself young hipster taking multiple selfies alongside his red Ducati, I imagine for Facebook postings. Then he asked me to move the Vincent over so that he could get a better photo of his Ducati. I asked if it was new and the answer was " No I bought it 3 years ago"
So by now he must have several thousand photos of the bike on its own, the bike and him, having a picnic with the bike, yadda, yadda...
My wife referred to him as " That young twit on the Dramati" :)

Red. I don’t see any color options available on their website for the R version.
Passenger? I don’t need no stinking passenger lol.

Yes on the carbon.
I thought the R came in black. Must be discontinued then. Saw a beautiful black one with a red R on it. Prettiest Monster I've seen.

Mine has been returned today, in time for me to try and sell just as the UK riding season come to an end!
A trade in would result in a new bike sitting in the garage over winter....

Did they identify the root cause?

Yes,
The ECU caused the fault, which gradually got worse and eventually prevented the bike from starting altogether. They moved the ECU to a fully working bike and got the same issues, moved a working ECU to my bike and no issues so they replaced the ECU.
Till the next electrical gremlin or the successful sale of the bike.....

And to think that FE had almost zero problems with his bike ! And you may have kept the 961 if those failures have not happened to you. Very frustrating for me to see this going on .

I could have lived with the Lamda sensors and TPS wire being replaced but when a lady, no matter how good looking, tries to kill you - you don’t give her the opportunity for a second chance!

Yes , Understood. The frustration for me comes from Norton's inability to provide consistent quality/reliability.

Back on topic, two things, have the Italians lost the meaning of gorgeous though I suppose Monsters are not supposed to be good looking, and the 961 is real eye candy in comparison. I suspect that I am about to be told the proof of the pudding is in the ride.

Should have kept both, even if the 961 lived under a tarp outside!

I have Tony, the link is for the dealer who is selling it.

Just thought it might be of interest to see if it sells, or the price drops, etc.

Done 500 miles on this Duc now.

It’s fantastic! The mid range is so addictive, and the handling is SO light and precise.

Really, really impressed.
