If you were in the market

Very nice Al. And a beautiful, beautiful exhaust system !

Can I assume you’ll be investing in the titanium system for your SL ?
yes Nigel, it's on the list..;)... what's your take on the delivery situation..? Norton quoted me july, but i can't see that happening...i had to wait almost 3 yrs to get my 961, but thought things were much better now....apparently not judging by the unrest on the facebook v4 page...folk getting their money back,etc...i didn't know Clem had left...amongst others...and now his replacement Lee Franklin has also left after only a couple of weeks..?..this brings back sour memories i don't want to go through again:mad:..

Oh dear.

I’m not on Facebook so I miss out on all that kinda stuff. Ignorance is bliss sometimes!

I didn’t even know Clem had left.

Rob has always said to me ‘late summer’. But they do have to build the factory first. Last time I was there that was progressing well. However there is a big difference between a finished shell and a properly running factory. AND they have to ramp up a brand new model. Even century old automotive OEMs struggle with this!

So... I wouldn’t book any specific events for it for this summer if I were you!

Ok, having thought about it a bit more, yes the stories of cancellations do match up with the sudden ‘availability’ at the factory.

On Nov 22nd last year, MCN announced the first 10 deliveries of V4s and that the production line was ‘in full flow’...

So, does anyone know how many more have been delivered? Close to half a year has elapsed since then. I’m not sure how many per week Norton were intending to produce, but surely they should have sold a LOT more since then with production ‘in full flow’?!

It would not seem right at all if Superlights started being shipped out to punters ahead of V4 buyers that have been waiting 2-3 years... and counting...

There's no rush for me at the moment Nige, but these guys have paid £44K upfront and are still waitin in a long queue....that we are at the back of...what would YOU do if Norton asked you for the full amount, then you had to wait 3 yrs to get your bike??...i've been thro this once before with the 961...(i had 11 promised delivery dates !)...don't fancy doing this again...:(

I don’t have any experience of such matters cos the delivery of my 961 was flawless !

Fingers crossed the new factory gets up n running well.

I’m flexible (ish) on timing... so as long as it’s as light as a feather, as fast as lightening, as reliable as a Toyota and as cool as, well, a Norton I’ll be happy !

At best .... you’ll get 2 out of four and one of those is it being a Norton!
