OUR SECOND 961 MARCH MEET UP ( 31ST MARCH 2019)
So just bringing this thread back to the top again ,3 weeks today is our first chance of having a bunch of 961,s in the same place other than the factory, this vintage cafe does has a reputation of attracting all sorts ,like the 400 rd Yamaha that looks like it’s been painted by CNW,the mint 50cc Yamaha sports mopeds ( us brits pay like £3k to £5k for these 40 year old learner bikes now ) classic CBX & the bang up to date H2.
So get here if u can Sunday 31st March

OUR SECOND 961 MARCH MEET UP ( 31ST MARCH 2019)
D minus 7 for this initial 961 gathering,or should I now say Modern Norton gathering just in case there are any V4 guys reading this ,I’ve put a mention bout the meet on the NOC site & I’ll put out another prompt later, but there is a less than enthusiastic response towards modern Norton’s on the site despite regular news pics & latest news from New Norton being on the info pages, there must be still a great number of new 961 owners that don’t realise this club/forum/banter/tattler stuff goes on in the form of “ Access Norton”, so if they just look on the NOC site it can be quite discouraging .
Any ol how moving swiftly on a more positive note, let’s get it together next week, if u can make it then more the merrier ,we have 6 confirmed

Sorry Blights, 3 x daughters descending and 1 x son all planning mothers day and my own is rather demanding so unable to attend. Must be that Weldon meet coming up soon. Been out today, cold but great

Blimey, definite prize looming for furthest traveled award, very well done Nortie any more ? , we have all had another invite btw from the NOC in Leicestershire/Northamptonshire again to return to the “ Wharf Inn “ at Welford ,Northampton NN6 6JQ on May 12th , will start another thread bout that one ,managed 13 of us that day , hey Nortie, your the guy that carries a bicycle on board the 961 aren’t you ?

Ive been keeing away from this thread as I would have loved to attend this one but i’m already committed to Mother’s Day activities. It’s a real shame as it’d have been my first norton meet up and I could have bought my new toy. It’s also just an hour away. There will be another opportunity i’m Sure. Have fun.

Ok I was looking at going, but because I have been sent the wrong parts the bike is still in bits until I get the new lines and replace the cable

Are you able to go on another ride?
If not, catch a lift with Richard - Blightybrit - in his pickup.

You can ride shotgun in my trusty Toyota,I’ll be selecting hyperdrive once out of Kent,so your welcome to jump in & meet some fellow 961,ers , on what is now our first international event with Nortie threatening to attend

Nice Big bags for the long haul ! I love to see all the Norton's gathered up at these meets .

OUR SECOND 961 MARCH MEET UP ( 31ST MARCH 2019)
So numbers down to 4 this year, Stuart2015,Lincolnshire poacher,Nortie,a non forum member & moir driving ere. Mother’s Day put a damper on it I guess as it’s a week later than last year, Richard ( Nortie) done the overnight 500 mile round trip from Belgium to attend, so fair play to Richard & his bike boasting 17,000 plus on the clock, all the bikes had quirky differences, note the SE have different handlebar switches , & the SE achieved that mileage with no gearbox vent kit ? Or oil in box full update ? Strange but true, ta ra Nortie & catch yer next time

Richard from Belgium has the original Norton logo on his tank and engine covers - looks good.
