Some of the fastners would have been cadmium plated & others would have been dull/satin chrome. My 650ss left the factory early in '62, & was original when I aquired it from the first owner. It had both these types of plating. These days due to 'elf & safety/enviromental concerns Cadmium is difficult to get. Usually the only places still plating with it are aerospace & military contractors.Martyn.
