Just noticed YSS shocks. Worth considering or just eye wash?

No, they have a good reputation, they did Koni clones many years ago and have moved onwards and upwards. Made in Thailand so no Chinese connection which is another advantage.

Just looking at their website https://www.yss.co.th/

They say:

YSS is the largest producer of after market motorcycle shock absorbers in the world, and its range is constantly expanding.

So, I’m not sure why I have never heard of them?

That said, some of their stuff looks good. But I don’t see an application listed for the Norton Commando - they cover Rotary and Commander only.

Having rebuilt a pair of Öhlins shocks for use on a featherbed and playing with spring rates and shim stacks, this isn’t something I’d want to do with shocks that are difficult to get parts for!!!

Rebuilding is not an issue Im not going to be around long enough to worry about that!

They have a shock for the new Enfield twin which looks like it would play with the Norton clearance issue on the chain guard.

And whilst I'm at it, here is a Ikon shock that looks like it would work with the Commando
chain guard . And the price is a good deal less than the eye candy black body chrome spring
offering if you are willing to ignore the visuals.

The YSS shocks are very nice but i am pretty sure they will foul your chain guard
check the spring diameter and the platform height against the stock shocks
