Would you?

Shoehorning a Triumph Thruxton 1200 mill into a monoshock featherbed frame.
Oh, beautiful, and way cool!

Well its not really a true Featherbed frame, might look like one but its not, as for my 1200 Thruxton I like it the way it is and it handles as good as my Featherbed.

Number 3 is nice but not sure about all the gold colour on the motor and gearbox to much bling for me.

It is a Wideline frame but so many mods done to the frame, the back rail has been mod and of course the mono shock set up, be interesting to ride it to compare the handling, I have both Wideline and Slimline frames, but like I have said the stock Thruxtons handle pretty good for a twin shock bike and I had no problems with convering my near new Commando to the Wideline Featherbed way back in the early 80s, but I didn't modified the Featherbed frame, as well other parts on the Featherbed frame would have to be modified to fit a modren Triumph motor in the frame.
To me once you change things on a orginal Featherbed frame it then not a true Featherbed in my eyes, but of course thats my opinion and don't get me wrong it looks like it's been well built and looks good with a very torquey motor.

I now understand what you mean. I agree then, it’s no longer a “featherbed frame”

That’s nice.

But nicer still would be a 1200 Thruxton or Speed Twin motor in a modern Dominator chassis...!

Just buy two perfectly good (and expensive) motorcycles to create one. Simples!

Just seen details of this build. Probably the first bike other than the Norton I could be tempted by.

Fast Eddie has probably just got through a set of underwear...

I think I could happily live with that which is high praise from a committed spokey wheel fan! Might tweak the tail a little - looks a bit kettle-ish.
