Is there anyone as dedicated to Norton as this fellow is to Ducati :?:

Who is really dedicated ?

Jean

In Bendigo at the International Norton Rally in Australia a couple of years back there was a gent with an extensive Norton tattoo on his chest which even allowing for my fading memory would be better than a match for the Desmo tat - sadly i don't have a pic.

Looks like a poseur to me. Probably hangs out at Starbucks wearing a wife beater so everyone can see his tat.

What's he gonna do next year when he sells the Duc and buys an Aprilia or something? I guess they have laser tattoo removal now. :P

I'm with Debby. You would have to be a knob. Bet you don't see anyone with a Hyosung tattoo. Or Westinghouse. Honda anyone?

That's not dedication. If he rides a modern Duke then he wouldn't know what they looked like inside anyway.

I could not have expressed sarcasm any better than that Debby. Well done!

We should be glad the guy didn't get a tazmanian devil tattoo or something ultra cliche. At least he got something mildly interesting.

Definitely!

It's not as if it looks like an Imola cam either

Still a possible improvement on 'Mum and Dad'...on the other hand, maybe not.

Debby, I would be interested to know what a wife beater means in the USA. Over here in England it generally refers to Stella Artois, a Belgian beer which is popular here and causes lots of domestic trouble for those who like it a bit too much!

With replies like those, I think anyone with a Norton or Burt Hopwood tattoo will be afraid of posting a picture

Nah, his boyfriend is a mechanic

Hi Rusty,
Here in the USA a "wife beater" is usually a white tank top t-shirt (no sleeves) worn by a middle aged male usually intoxicated and implicated in spousal abuse.
Heh, not that funny I guess.

The other day I met a guy who had the same tattoo, albeit a bit smaller. As the sun was high in the sky, I felt obliged to warn him for burnt valves...

"Knob", not in my American vocabulary?

From the Oxford dictionary;

knob

• noun 1 a rounded lump or ball at the end or on the surface of something. 2 a ball-shaped handle on a door or drawer. 3 a round button on a machine. 4 a small lump of something. 5 chiefly N. Amer. a prominent round hill. 6 vulgar slang a man’s penis.

All I can say is that it is one of these.

The valve stems don't look to scale ..............  looks a bit like a new fangled egg beater...I would have to go for a more accurate orthographic projection or more useful a wiring diagram... :D :D

UK version of a wife beater is a string vest !!!!

Only in Weegie land, they don't sell them in the East!

A friend has Norton Tattood on his arm, but mainly rides a BMW now.................
