Gents,

As was posted in another thread, John put a lot of design work into his 2:1 and very neat tucked in rear sets to compliment it.

His interests seem to have moved on away from the 961 these days.

So, I guess this is a question to Richard and / or Matt, how about taking this over from John?

And how about polling the forum to see what kind of after market goods there actually is a market for?

Who’s gonna step up to the after market challenge ??

I'd love a set of these.
I've bugged John about these for 2 years.
Stainless construction
Quick disconnect spring retainers at joints (racer chic)
O2 sensor mounts
Free flowing collector with stainless steel wadding packing.
Schwing!!!
My check box is out and ready.

So, what has he said during those 2 years?

Is he still planning to get around to it, or has he ‘moved on’ (I know he’s head over heels in love with his new Molnar Manx)?!

Well, basically John Snead was very busy with this normal business (CNC machining facility).
Also, busy making parts for Matt's E-Start kits, and other parts for CNW, and oh yeah, vintage racing his Manx racer.
John told me that the exhaust that is pictured in this thread was designed for him by another vintage racer back in 2016.
This person is a Ducati dealer in Florida, but John never mentioned his name or the shop.
So if some enterprising individual like maybe Matt at CNW wanted to supply 961 owners with such a system, he could speak to John.

I know of at least one 961 owner who would be easily persuaded to dispose of some of this income in return for such an exhaust system.
Of course, installation of this 2-into-1 would almost certainly require a PC in order to attain proper fueling.

Definitely, worth a shot though.

Hello,

last week I saw in Ollie´s shop two Norton 961 with aftermarket exhausts.
He has made two TÜV proven systems.
A two in two system and a two in one system, both with removable DB-eater.
The system is for all models up to E4.
It was not allowed to make pictures before the systems is homologated.
In the pipeline is also a two in two with both pipes on the same side. ( I saw the drawing on his desk)

Cheers
Panetone

Panetone,

Are you able to tell if the under pipes on Ollie's exhausts clear the engine sump plug for easy access oil draining?
