What was the last 750 frame number?

heres a 235XXX 750 with appears to be authentic numbers

What was the last 750 frame number?
What was the last 750 frame number?
What was the last 750 frame number?

The 235 series 750s were built around Jan./Feb./March 1973 mainly as Hi-Riders so they aren't the last, 230 series is the last.

Agreed but when someone asks that question are they meaning in time or serial number - I never know. In this case, it sounded to me like he wanted to know the highest serial number, not the last serial number made.

The last serial number seems clear enough and 235001 isn't close to being the last 235.

Not to be the grammer police but "last 750 frame number" could mean frame number of the last 750 made or the highest serial number of a 750 frame, two different questions. Answers were very interestion as I did not know about 235 series hi riders.

I love british motorbike minutiae!!

Yes, but I understood the question to be related to the bike in the pictures 235001 which is neither close to last frame or highest serial number. Last 750 frame and last serial number as far as is known is 230935. The fact that the 235 series has a higher number seems irrelevant as they appear to have been built earlier than the last 230s.

The highest known 750 235 to date appears to be 235435 unless anyone knows of any higher number 750 (as there are also 235 850s and short stroke engines).

No, apart from the fact that the 230 series had 850 frames.
Les, asking out of curiosity, did NVT publicise this in some way? And what could have been the reason for NVT to re-launch the 750 after series production of the 850 began in January 1973?
Is the 230 series considered to be a Mk5, or a Mk6 even?

Not that I know of.

I don't think they did as I believe 750 production continued alongside 850 production, presumably until they ran out of 750 parts.

As far as I know, the 230 series were also Mk5 (no Mk6 that I know of).
