What the Night Sky Would Look Like If Saturn Were as Close as the Moon

Space-X would probably have trips to cruise thru the rings for just under $2M (first class, with large viewing window), or $1.5M for economy, with a tiny portal and no meal plan.

Mind you, assuming the moon is history in this scenario Saturn would take over it's place in our psyche, and in the minds of lovers and songwriters too. Even though it possibly does (think about it).. would the song: 'Saturn River' have the same ring to it? Song writers clichés like 'Moon and June' would hard to imagine if Saturn ruled..

You underestimate the cleverness of good songwriters...

It would be really cool, for about a nanosecond.
That's how long it would take the trapped Solar radiation in Saturn's magnetopause to fry the surface of the earth.

The Moon is a much nicer neighbor.

Page not found 404 keeps coming up.

But good image it would keep me awake at night, but great for the night rides, lockdown permitting.
Try now.

I get the whole scenario wouldn't be survivable in this physical universe, but the idea is cool lockdown diversion.

thanks for putting that up , I waste a lot of time gazing off into the night sky , I can honestly say that photo is something I have never ever even considered ....

This is a good, but dark, science fi movie about the moons orbit decaying so that it ends up colliding with earth.
