A friend of mine has what he thinks is a Norton seat. He has Commandos, Atlas and Norton Scramblers but this seat isn't one of those.
I'm thinking it is off of a lightweight. Maybe you can shed some light on this?
Thanks for your help.

I think you were right : Jubilee...........
Wonder what year? I also wonder how he came up with a new seat for one of those models in New Mexico.
I always wondered why Norton didn't have an illustrated parts book? Oh well long past now.
Thanks for your help.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think Norton did have an illustrated parts book, it's just that only dealers got it!

All the parts books that I have ever seen for Nortons of the period didn't have illustrations. The one for my 47 ES2 (sold long ago) and the one I have for the 61/62 650 has a few did but not the later ones. Yet the ones for the AJS / Matchless parts books were very well illustrated. But even those showed the parts but not in context of where they go or in what order.
