What did I do wrong... Primary

Sorry it took so long to respond. I found that I had some weight on the cradle. The bike was partially supported by the cradle. I moved the support to the frame and made sure nothing touched the cradle and solved it.
I consider that a silly mistake on my part. terrible

They say you learn from your mistakes... I’m not sure it’s so simple cos if it was I’d be a freakin’ genius by now !!

You still need a final check. With everything installed correctly, you should find a decent gap between the swingarm and inner primary while on or off the center stand on a 72 or later 750. On an 850 you'll find little to no gap on or off the center stand - 850s often require two gaskets at the inner primary to engine to prevent the swingarm rubbing. Don't know about earlier than 72 but it makes sense that they should have a gap too.
 
Thanks Greg, its a good 1/8 now. I have no centerstand, and it will be a while until the bike can be sat on and vroomed. ;)
