Hi all - I was able to get a nice NOS two hole front fender To replace mine that’s a bit dented. It looks Identical to what is in my bike except it’s missing the two other holes for my two extra stays. Is there any issue drilling those out? Has anyone done it and would it take any special tools? Thank you.

No problem drilling it. Masking tape on the under side to use for marking the hole locations. What I didn't like though was the raised lip only at one end. It's a MKIII fender.

I guess I could rock one stay
Why not try it like that for a while, then if you decide to drill it later you can still do it in situ.

If I were in the U.S. I'd swap my 4 hole with you in an instant.

I'm not high on the right stay dog leg, but it's easy enough to live with.

Best

I decided to just put it in with one stat, it looks great so I’ll probably keep it that way for a bit! Thank you

I put a one stay mudguard on my MKII. It has since developed one failed rivet at the fork bracket. Will be drilling out remaining rivets and replacing with button head hex socket bolts with nuts.
