No real science, just asking to see if the election results will follow this poll, see if Norton owners are representative of the general population.

Obviously only US citizens can vote, so these will count, but let's have a side poll to see what the rest of the world would do. Please state your country of origin and who you would vote for.

I really don't know how or even if a lowly member can run a poll so each new reply take the previous tally, add your vote

Canadian (me) Clinton

Clinton: 1
Trump: 0

I am in Aussie land but what I think is every USA elections run for to long, months infact and by the time its near the end poeple are just so over it, when we vote we only cop a few week of campaining then its over.
But what a choose, Clinton or Trump, who ever you vote in nothing will change, more money than ever will be spent on the defence force because of all the bad pollicies over the years and the shit thats been stirred up with being the sherff of the world.
More poeple are living on the streets, the rich get richer etc etc, do you think who ever you vote for is going to make any diffrents, maybe more money out of your pockets and once in do you think they will keep all the promises that they said, no way, so how can you vote for 2 poeple who really don't care.
But if I had to choose I wouldn't waste my vote on both of them, who ever wins, I don't see how the US of A will ever recover not with Trump or Clinton.

But hey thats my opinion, good luck.

Ashley

Review them both carefully, decide which is the worst, then vote for the other one. I think this election has the worst candidates of any we've seen since emigrating here in 1968.

I agree with the two posters above, if I were american, I would probably not vote at all in this election.

Which is exactly what some politicians plan on and poison the water over to get elected. If you don't vote, don't bitch about corruption-you're contributing to it. If everyone got off their lazy asses and voted, eventually you'd end up with better choices. Not voting because the candidates suck is a vicious circle.

Clinton, of course.
as I say all the time, she's simply a pro-choice republican. the neocons love her. so when she's in office, expect more American inspired violence in the middle east, no justice for Palestine, and a booming defense and security industry in the good ole u s of a.

On the other hand, if we had the orange turd blossom as potus it could be the end of things as we know it. the hell that is Syria could be worldwide.

Not much of a choice but at least Clinton has the temperament and where-with-all for the job. And I love the world more than any county. lets not totally fuck it up.

I said it earlier that I think both Clinton and Trump aren't the right poeple for the job, with such a population as the US and you can't even get the right poeple for the job, as a outsider I think who ever you vote in will do no good for the state you are in.
But now its getting closer to the end and now all the dirt is starting to get flung to discredit each other every one knows about Trumps dealings with the female gender, so why didn't this all come out at the begining instead at the near end, but Clinton is no angle as well as she would have given permission to did up the dirt on Trump, and remember she is married to a womanizer, so who really gives a shit, what about the real plans on saving your own country, get it working again for the poeple and not themselfs, what about getting rid of the national det, get the homeless back to work, there is more important things than dirty politics
The worst thing about this is our country is heading down the same road, run by fools who are only feathering their own pockets, looking after themselfs and their party, who gives a shit what the voters think, we just going to do whats best for the party and ourselfs.

I feel sorry for all in the US of A and of course the rest of the world, its not looking good at all for the future and now am so over it every time we turn on the news and watching 2 fools fighting it out but no real pollicies to help your country.

Ashley

So

I don't know anything about Hilary Clinton, but I would not vote for Trump. We had Tony Abbott- he didn't last long. What was WW2 about ? I remember when the Yank soldiers were in Australia and I also remember why they were here. To us kids, they were sent by God. I don't care what is said about America, they were here when we needed them. Will that always be the case ?

Well now that the Chicago (my home town) Cubs are world champions, brace yourselves.
Considering this first in 108 years event, I assert that there has been an anomaly in the space-time-continuum. President (dumfuk) Trump is a real possibility! Next thing we know, gravity will be compromised.

Trump would want you to pay for it up front.

Hopefully the Great Googley-Moogley is fresh out of strange and we'll all stay stuck to the planet.

I'd rather have a proven, successful business man with a good family than a professional politician who has enriched herself to become hundred millionaire during her career.
Trump is the first and last chance that the US has to break the political insider network. They are all self-serving crooks giving away money and benefits to insure votes.

let me see, she was in trouble for lying during the Watergate investigation, had to return stolen property from the white house when they vacated it, her and bill both disbarred, all the mess from the rose law firm, lyed to congress over e mail scandal, takes huge volumes of money from foreign country's for there foundation and no one knows where it goes.and lets not forget Benghazi where we lost 4 but what difference does it make. HILLERY FOR PRISON.

If you want a proven, successful businessman, you certainly don't want Trump. He has filed bankruptcy 6 different times, lost almost a billion dollars in one year and hasn't paid any income tax since 1995. His whole empire was on the verge of collapse after the $950 million loss and some big investment bankers had to decide whether to prop him up or let him fail. They decided to prop him up, figuring he was too big to fail (where have we heard THAT before?) putting liens on all his assets and waiting years to get their money back. In the meantime, other venture capitalists saw value in his name (big bank backing) and Trump sold the rights to slap his name on their ventures and in doing so, regained financial footing. Many of the contractors and sub-contractors on Trump-badged projects were not paid and had to settle for pennies on the dollar because the Donald had Wall Street lawyers and bankers on his side. So if you want a self-serving crook and a cheater of whose kind was able to get their crimes legalized in advance of commission, vote for Trump. The only thing that will change is what crooks are in charge. If you want to break the insider political network, elect a common working person to be President.

Maybe she should have taken that foreign money for the foundation and bought a huge portrait of herself to hang in her office. 4 Americans died in Benghazi. Over 4,000 died in Iraq, not to mention close to a half-million Iraqi civilians. How many died in the Marine Barracks in Lebanon? Maybe you're too young to remember, but the era Trump supposedly wants to take us back to was when that horseshit B-movie actor was in office. Trump lies every time he opens his mouth. On the night he skipped the Republican debate, Colbert showed news film where Trump contradicted himself, not once, but five or six times, saying one thing and then later saying the exact opposite. The Florida State investigation into his phony university was dropped when he made a big contribution to the Republican Attorney General's re-election campaign. And it's spelled Hillary. Soon to be President Clinton.

Ms. Clinton is nothing more than a pro-choice republican, and though I'm not a big fan, the sensible choice. During Watergate, she was a law student at Yale, I've never heard of her being connected to that scandal; I wonder who made that one up?

The best ways to permanently fix American politics are simple, imho; publicly funded elections, term limits for congress, end gerrymandering, and election day as a paid holiday, if you vote. Electing a sociopath with a 4th grade vocabulary as POTUS would not fix the special-interest, non-representative government we have.

"Believe me, I am the greatest, and only I can fix it" .....gimme a fuggin break!

This Presidential election reinforces the adage that "The lesser of two evils is STILL EVIL". Actually, I'm most concerned about what happes if Trump wins and then something happens to him (impeachment, assassination or??) that gets him removed as President. His VP running mate, who would take over, is a wacko fundamental Christian evangelical that REALLY scares me. He would make the Reformation look like a Sunday School picnic. He's a much bigger reason not to vote Republican than Trump.

In Australia, we are not so religious. What is it with you guys that you are such believers ?

Acotrel:

The US is a very large country and a lot of the residents are descended from early settlers from various overseas countries. Some areas are fervently religious, particularly in the southern states. In the west, religion is not a big deal - many people are agnostic or atheist. It's the "closet nut-cases", like Trump's VP selection, who are dangerous.

Franks answer is spot on; I have both Irish and Italian 19th century immigrant ancestors.... needless to say I was raised catholic, so I know a bit about hypocrisy!

I've been an atheist for decades, if you can't prove it, I don't believe in a magic guy up in the sky
