Last month I received a 100 lb. plus heavy, china sink that was dropped off at the builder's site. It was literally dropped, as in broken with a corner of the factory box mashed. I took photos that were sent to the shipper. They took it up with UPS, I presume, and sent another one. They did not want the broken one back.

IIRC UPS used to have a low weight limit. Apparently now they do not yet they do not have lift-gate service. That should have been in their recent union contract if it wasn't. On my box in bold, red letters was printed Heavy! Two man lift! Plus. We two big but old men did what we could to avoid lifting it, using my motorcycle lift to get it off my truck when we moved it to my kitchen project.

UPS is accepting items management knows one driver can't handle. Such items used to come truck-freight with lift-gate service but I suppose with the demise of Yellow Freight that's too much to hope for.
