Hi. Some time ago I bought a stash of Norton parts, including an unknown engine chain wheel (at the PTO shaft or at the timing side shaft). It has one large 24T sprocket and two smaller 19T sprockets. Those smaller sprockets are very close, and I guess they are for a duplex chain. 19T corresponds with a small capacity bike. The shaft hole is paralell and keyed.
The chainwheel is not for the ES400, which had a duplex primary chain and another chain wheel off the sprag clutch, which was outboard of the Wipac alternator. BSA unit singles and AMC 250 CS/CSR also used duplex primary chain drives.
Is there another engine with a duplex primary drive and a dynamo or distributor driven by chain off the PTO shaft?

The chainwheel may be for a duplex timing chain as well. The small shaft bore hints at a timing chain drive. BMW used duplex timing chains on their airheads, but no additional sprocket.

If you have an idea which engine and brand the sprocket may belong to, please share your thoughts.
