Can you guess what the ugliest part of the 961 is?
I’ll give you a hint, it’s only on the Commando line up.

Got these Shock upper and lower along with the muffler hanger caps. Made of billet aluminum and clear anodized. Got them from Ollie at Thiel Motorsport. They also include new stainless hardware.
To me, it’s a much proper look and should of been done at the factory!

The ugliest part of a 961 is the way the side panels don't fit the frame
Apart from that it's a great looking bike IMO

Ugliest part for me is the rear part of the tank. Its way too narrow. Cannot work out the design thinking behind that at all.

Without this gap some service would require the removal of the rear hugger and wheel . There are many points to nit and pick without a doubt. And I agree with FE about the tank , and I wish there would have been a small and large tank option from the factory .

Do you mean the airbox? I really like the airbox that leaves the frame in sight

I didn't realize the gap was there to make it easier to service the bike!
As I said it's a personal opinion and to me it lets the bike down

There are no side panels Baz. What you see is the airbox. In that regard it’s a nice kinda ‘honest’ design.

The biggest issue with airbox, according to many, is its just too small.

Could always do away with the box and add velocity stacks

by the way, why would you ever mount the rear shocks upside down? Not to mention it’s adding unsprung weight doing so, even if it’s minimal.

Yea Man ! This red one in the Domi Frame ole number "55" is sweet ! I like everything they did , sport bars , spoke wheels . That red on black with white trim is just perfect ! They did this right , keeping everything that was good on the 961 . Scott , Do you have any more shots of it ? Like the 2 into 1 exhaust ?

Ugliest for me has to be the emissions canister held on by the large pipe clamp. Don't have a pic but once seen it cannot be unseen. I'll eliminate it someday

I don’t have that on my commando, but it is on my dominator and I ditched that thing.
