I have a friend who just picked up a 77 Silver Jubilee and he was asking me about torque specs, specifically the axles.
A quick check online didn't help. If there is a list he would be very interested in all of them.

I rarely use a torque wrench
Especially on something like a wheel spindle
Do the rear wheel spindle as tight as you like
Go easy on the front fork bottom as they are known to crack

He needs Workshop Manual 99-0983

As with Norton, you must not over-tighten the rear axle. I suppose 50 ft lb is max. I use a 3/8" and pull reasonably hard for a 74-year-old.

The torque figure in the early manual (for cap bolts) of 25 lb. ft. is incorrect.
The correct figure for the four cap nuts is 15 lb. ft.
I think the torque setting for the two chrome dome head nuts on the chain case may also be wrong?
I've seen a few cracked at that point
