I have always used the screwdriver method. It goes like this: remove the bolt entirely...struggle struggle...apply the screwdriver, pound pound...struggle struggle.....pound pound...struggle struggle.....repeat as necessary.I am the inventor of the petcock tool, after 40 years of aggravation I dreamed up this tool and it works really well. I use it every time I R&R a fuel tank.If anyone wants them I can order up the stock and make a few more, probably have them ready in a couple of weeks
