for R&R the kickstart spring I use a thin and very common nylon string available anywhere ( I call it surveyor's string ) and form a loop about 10" long.First connect the spring into the kickstart shaft then, with the loop doubled to form a 5" loop, catch the other end of the spring and pull it around to it's stopping point. Makes the job simple and quick.
