TonyA visits Niagara Falls - 2019

That's certainly close enough for me. Its a whole year away and things can change. But , the New York members should really go to this its so close . So if my imagination is true say 3 or 4 961's from New York , Maybe 2 or 3 from Canada , 1 or 2 from Wisconsin (there are 2 in Wisconsin) and some others I can't think of that still want to ride their 961 ? When the distances grow the enthusiasm wanes , but they could trailer . Also don't forget that the cost will be higher in the Catskills for every convenience room gas etc . That alone may put people off . But if I see interest in having a 961 meet up , I could be swayed !!!

I'm bringing my 961 for sure to this one in 2020. Its upstate New York and I've been assured pricing will be comparable to this years rally. I'm a member of the hosting chapter and will start a separate thread for the rally in the Modern section to provide info and information specific to owners of the Modern Norton machines.

It's great that you will start this thread. This should help garner (no pun intended) support and interest . If I go I will ride ..

Oh by the way , I sat on a Domi for the first time in Canada . The seat height seem taller and the clip on bars VERY extreme long stretch and low. NO WAY can I ride that way. I would last about 15 minutes . I would trailer that too if I was you.

A two step process wash with salt away and then use a inhibitor next . Repeat as necessary , every ride etc ? My question is are those living near the ocean having this issue ? Like you Ken , close to the ocean ?

I dont hose it down after every ride. I do clean it quite often and as stated, I use the S100. Thoroughly soaking these bikes leads to problems too with all its exposed sensor connections. My Bonneville has no where near the corrosion the Norton does and she gets ridden almost as much.

I don’t dare get mine wet. Very pampered - she is moving to a new drier climate and will remain garaged indefinitely.

Cool!
Will he do all the needed maintenance too?
That would be a great deal.

I'm actually about 19 miles, as the crow flies, from the coast, and I don't have corrosion issues on the bikes. 40 years or so ago I did live right on the coast for a summer, while our house was rebuilt from a fire, and had corrosion problems from the salt air with both bikes and cars.

Knowing my brother, despite being a tried and true Harley guy, he’ll care for it like one of his children. He’s got a huge heated garage, too.

What year is your bike? The MKII is a different alloy and/or finish.
