To keep or not

Not to be pedantic chaps, but... tax ‘avoidance’ is a legal and correct method of an individual exercising prudence and using various schemes and methods to legally minimise their tax liabilities.

Tax ‘evasion’ is what puts you in prison.
Stand corrected.
Prison awaits.

Have you looked at what else he is selling? Pages and pages of classic cars/bikes all at ludicrously low prices and all with the same two line description and NONE of the photo's taken at the same location... I smell somfing fishy!

To keep or not

What the scammer does is somehow hacks real accounts so it looks like they are real
Ebayers with good feedback and history. Then in the advert wording puts an email address for contact (this regularly changes). He only ever lists that one photo and I know from the one off tail unit that that’s my old bike. I even recognise the garage!

every weekend someone puts loads of Nortons on Ebay uk, all scams.

How the heck this person gets round reprinting other peoples photos on eBay - I don't know how but you can't do it, somehow Ebay detects you are copying other people's image, as if there is a chip code on that image that they can detect.

Ray. Punctuation. Please. :D

Has to be a keeper now with far fewer than we thought made. A cracking ride, beautiful to look at and once the initial warantee issues out of the way, hopefully trouble free. I bet McPint in keeping his cafe racer#1 50th tucked away

Look, if you’re upset that your beloved Bike company is now at the moment out of business, stop complaining.
No use crying over spilt milk.

if you bought your 961 as a investment, well that’s just pain foolish.
You bought it to ride and enjoy and that’s exactly why I bought mine. Their beautiful, sexy, rare and perfect to me.

If you’re worried about parts, stop worrying.
The sensors, ecu, and other parts are still available.
You knew when you bought the 961 that it wasn’t going to be a daily or high mileage bike. So why worry now?
You’re never going to wear out the internal rotating assembly, the cylinders, mains, journals, etc can always be machined and parts can be had.

Ride them
Don’t hide them.
Enjoy or sell. It’s up to you.

Me, I’m never selling mine.

Thank goodness someone's talking "bike", the "Norton Trouble" posting has turned into a bun fight. I was late getting a 961 but took the plunge recently before it was too late, still running in but up to 4500 revs and glad I did. Hopefully when the dust settles and the truth becomes clear, we'll get back to enjoying our bikes, comparing notes, help solve issues and be happy .

So what should the real sale price of a 961 be based on 1.5 bikes per week. Approx £16K perhaps was 50% of what it should have been. Have we got ourselves a british bargain?
