I'm looking for some constructive opinions... I don't need anyone to make my mind up for me or anything, but some input would be great.

While the guy sandblasting my frame/swingarm/cradle is busy playing with hims... err... my frame, I figure its a good time to go ahead and re-lace my wheels.

The opinion I am looking for is around wheel finish. This is my paint (Thanks again Brent):

Frame will be black.

Black Sun rims/stainless spokes or Raw Sun rims/stainless spokes?

Does anyone have any pics of a C'do with black rims?

Lovely paint job! I am deciding what to go for on my Mk3 Silver or black? this might be the solution I'm looking for, a bit of both!

No pics of Commandos with black rims I'm afraid, but I would personally stick with the raw rims and stainless spokes, mainly due to the paint job being destroyed when you put a tyre on or off, they will look tatty and chip really quickly.

Do you have any pics of your wheelrims? I've not heard of Sun rims before.

Sun rims are very high quality and are manufactured in the U.S.A; from materials that are from U.S. mills.... 8)

Regarding your choice of rim color....I guess that it depends if you want your Commando to have a more individualized/cafe style look or go with the traditional silver wheel look.

Just had a look at the web sites thanks lads. The Buchanans / Sun rims are pretty good, look like high quality USA stuff, not thought of putting anodised rims on the bike, could be persuaded to though if i see them in the flesh, also noticed a couple of English made rims as well, yay! :) Still prefer the traditional polished or chrome look though!

I'm of the traditionalist opinion. Keep with chrome rims. Whatever you do, I can change back if and when I buy it. The cost to return it will be in our negotiation. :)

50s bit would be black center raised ( spoke fitting area ) with red pinstripe .Leaving flat area chromed . Tends to flake . Only outer was polished , under the paint etched ? Pre war style ?

That would be my vote - if it were my bike, which it isn't. :D

This would get my vote on a SS rim. That would look extremely cool.

Black WM3's ordered. I wish I had the vegetables to follow Fullauto's lead on WM4's, but I don't.

Thanks, as always, for the input guys.
