I need to replace some corroded headlight brackets. The bike (recently acquired) has the Lansdown Dampers. Can any give some guidance in carrying out this task in steps that would help me please. The bike front without front wheel is jacked up so there's room for the forks to drop out of the yokes.

The way I do it is to drop the lower yoke completely off, then slide the forks through it about an 1/8" further than they typically are when installed, and slightly tighten the pinch bolts so that they don't slide out. This way, you can load the O-rings and the headlight ears on to the protruding fork tubes, then offer the whole thing up to the upper yoke as a unit. It helps if you have a helper to start the lower yoke retaining nut when you are offering up the lower assembly. Continue the assembly as you normally would from there.

Hope that makes sense.

Oh and if you want to have your "Lansdown" text oriented the right way facing you, mark the stanchion tube with a Sharpie below the bottom yoke as a reference.
