Another question.
When i dismount the camshaft, i did not payed attention to the THRUST WASHER CAMSHAFT Part Number 061086.
Now, i kindly ask to you in which side i must mount the washer.
The problem that i have is if the washer conical side have to must fit ahead to timing chest or to breather.
Thanks.
Ciao.
Piero

Sorry,
But i dont understand.
The bushes are two, wich bush, to breather side or to timing side?
Away means "in the other side"? The conical side goes Not in face to bush, behind?
Sorry, but i lost easily me in translation.
Regards.
Ciao.

Piero,

Watch your engine restoration DVD?

(disc 2, from 19 minutes) Mick explains about camshaft bushes and thrust washers.

Very very interesting, i learned another couple of things.
But is not written how goes the conical/flat side mount of the bush.
But: i have two news from Andover 065425: can in the future fit them on 750 crank case valves 1972 year with scrolled cam?
Thanks Dave.
Ciao.

Mick fits the 061086 chamfered thrust washer onto the camshaft at precisely 19:07 explaining that: "....it [the camshaft] has the hardened steel washer on, with the chamfer towards the [tacho. drive] gear."

Well,
Now i mean that the thrust washer camshaft and the chamfered washer is the same.
Sorry, but i need time to learn.
Thanks.
Ciao.

chamfer, taper, conical, sort of the same but slightly different meanings. It would be nice if everyone called things just as they are in the parts book. I'm guilty too.
