Somewhere among the posts were some comments about throttle response. Besides myself, I believe BritTwit commented about the slow response of the engine when blipping the throttle before downshifting. Now after 8 or more weeks of riding my 961 exclusively (no other bikes in my shed got a turn) I have finally mastered downshifting. I've learned to plan a little and use patience before releasing the clutch lever for downshifting without tugging on the rear sprocket. It has definitely taken some practice.
Of all the other bikes you see in my list, the 961 is the slowest to raise the RPMs when the throttle is cracked. Does anyone else care to comment?
