Well Biden has been talking and the cost of gas has gone up yet again! Where I live it is now up to $4.10 as of yesterday 3/7/22.
As a group we are all getting older (no s***) and while we all loved the rallys in the past we rode our Nortons or drove to them in our trucks. The first two I rode to Colorado 79 and Northern California 80. Others I have trailered to. I'm thinking that many who are now in the trailer mode may take a pass on long distance travel? By summer time who knows how high the cost of gas will be? My guess will be $8 to $9. It is worse in the peoples republic of California, just saying!
Will you be going if it gets that high?

At the moment it's around £1.55 a litre in the UK
That's about £7.16 an English gallon or $9.43
But prices have been seen as high as £1.71 per litre

Today here in Kingston Ontario Canada you will pay $ 185.4 per litre of regular 10% ethanol gas . 20 cents more than it was 5 days ago .

Still cheaper to ride your bike to the rally then to truck it ..

Mr Biden's goal is to get the price of gasoline so high, we will happily* buy electric vehicles.

*Until the price of electricity catches up.

Slick

Around 07, 08 gas was starting to tickle $5 a gallon in Wisconsin. I bought a 01 Saturn LW200. 37 mpg on highway and 33 mpg on interstate.
I traveled for work. it was up to $300 a week for gas. Still cheaper than a motel room.
The fuel cost for the rally trip would double from what it was a year ago.
Doing the math, it could seem like alot, but I think it was worth it.
So, transfer the added cost into the price of thirty packs of miller 64. Would you rather have the 30 packs or the rally?
So if your person was the president, what would you have them do in this situation?
Names and blame were already brought out to start with.
Fuck, I get wound up when politics have to be brought into everything.

Lol, Yes, didn't y'all know ol' Joey is directly responsible for all global gas prices?
Still haven't hit W's record in 08...

If an extra buck a gallon is gonna break the bank, stay home.

My truck gets roughly 12 miles to the gallon, that's why I have 4 motorcycles.

For one USA gallon of high test here, price works out to $7.41 per or $1.86 litre , folks are yelling as very little gas from Russia here , our own suppliers cut production during covid and have been slow to bring back online , a perfect storm for producer/supplier as they having $$$ rain into their pockets … surprised Gov has not stepped in and ordered them to full production , although this is huge windfall for Gov too ,as they get around 50 cents per litre in tax …. my wife’s new Jeep while not a guzzler has big tank , I would guess around $145 to fill from empty , we will fill up now at half tank to avoid sticker shock ….

Here in the UK the average price for petrol today is £1.60 per litre that's $2.10

Yes ! Price here dropped 5 cents per litre overnight , every little bit less is welcome here

$4.25 gallon for 10% corn squeezins gas here in NC $4.75 for non corn squeezins Brandon blaming Pootin' common man smells the stink

Its all about the world market price of crude, don't matter where the oil comes from every country goes by world market price, it also don't matter how full the storage tanks are the price of fuel goes up pretty quick when the price of a barrel of crude goes up, but when the price of crude goes down it seems the price at the pumps take longer to go down than when they go up, here in Aus we are taxed very high on fuel as well a extra 10% GST on top of that tax so more than 1/2 the price of fuel is tax to our GOVT and when the price of fuel goes up really our GOVT don't complain as they make more money from us suckers, then you also get the greedy fuel companies on top of that and the big companies are the worst and in the cities we seem to pay more than our country folks not so far from the major cities.

In the first week of this year, 91 (regular) was sitting at an average of $2.61 NZ a litre. Now some stations in Auckland are charging as much as $3.41 a litre - that's an 80 cent jump in just 10 weeks.

$3.41/L × 3.8L/US gal x .68 NZD/USD = 8.81 USD/YS gal here in NZ.

Crude oil prices have soared by more than 35 percent for barrels in the past week.

I don't think this has anything to do with Biden.

The USA was self reliant on fossil fuels during the Bush administration ( I think it was Bush). The present officials have stock in electric vehicles and have set unobtainable restrictions on oil production, so now we are purchasing 8% from Russia?!?! Russia can make all the black smoke they want! Price up more then 100% since 1 1/2 years ago, $1.99 for diesel to $5.39 now, because of Russia embargo. Bull dung!

i am speaking of situation in NC in USA not NZ
Both you and the OP attributed the cost of gasoline in the US to Biden (Brandon). That is rubbish. We are simply pointing out it is a global issue not of his partisan doing, regardless of your partisan POV. As Ashley pointed out, its all about the world market price of crude, and the situation in Ukraine has driven up the price of Brent crude as well (US produced).

That would have been Obama.

In total energy consumption, the US was between 86% and 91% self-sufficient in 2016.[1] In May 2011, the country became a net exporter of refined petroleum products.[2] By 2014, the United States was world's third largest producer of crude oil, after Saudi Arabia and Russia,[3] and second-largest exporter of refined products, after Russia.[4] In November 2019, the United States became a net exporter of all oil products, including both refined petroleum products and crude oil.[5] By 2021 the US was the world's largest producer.[6]
