Scott, yes you do need these pipes!
Yes, they fit on the stock down pipes and link pipe. I have the de cat link pipe.
Fitting them does expose the ‘uniqueness’ of these hand built bikes however as they do need some finessing to fit right.
I removed my link pipe, cleaned all the joints, lubed with copper slip, re assembled loosely, and then shuffled things around until I got a good fit. It took a little time and patience but it paid off.
They look, and sound, fabulous. Even the boys at the factory said so!
For someone as OCD as you, there is one small point you might wanna look at. They come with removable baffles (surprisingly effective ones too) and these are secured by M6 torx screws from underneath. If you have no intention of using the baffles, you might wanna get these holes welded up and polished, or ask Ollie if it’s possible to supply some without the baffles and holes. I just fit some small black grommets in the holes and you can’t see them unless you get really close.
I want the baffles for track day noise testing purposes. Ollie said they might run rich with them fitted, but the plugs still looked great when I tried them and, to be honest, I couldn’t detect any loss in performance either. For those who don’t like too much noise (when touring etc) the baffles are great.
I can assure anyone that they would not regret buying these pipes.
