I was 1 year old in 1972. I don’t recall the prices of anything in 1972 lol. But in todays times, if you want something exclusive, the maker and seller know they can get away with it. My car for example, 2018 Mustang Shelby GT350R. When new had a MSRP of $70k usd. But to actually buy one, the dealers were adding a ADM to the sticker price an additional $30k usd. In my opinion no new mustang is worth $100k. But you’d be surprised how many people were laying down the money to get one because they were limited production. I was lucky to get mine from the dealer new for $5k over MSRP because the guy that originally ordered it, backed out. Bad for him, good for me. Did you hear anything back from Norton about ordering a New bike? I’m curious how long or if ever that they’ll have dealers in the USA.
