After a long absence, one thought one would stretch ones legs and head off to the NEC.
What a surprise that Norton have produced their very own V4 engine............ What an amazing piece of 3D printing it is, I very nearly knocked it off its display stand. The smoke and mirrors continue..............!!!!!
History repeating its self, taking deposits from people without a running bike even being produced and at £44k !!!!

Oh dear A negative comment. Did you speak to the owner of the company who was at the stand all day. Did you voice any opinion to him direct? I certainly did. He was happy to answer all and sundries questions about the past mistakes, present and future of the company. Basically as I understand it the bikes that have had deposits taken will be available to their new owners only once they have fully completed road testing. They have taken orders for a number of 961's at the show and both models will run together. Putting a deposit on hand built machinery is not new. Try and buy any of the prestige cars and then ask them about the waiting lists.
I have attached a few photos of the stand. Most importantly for me was the Dominator 'Naked'. It looked better in real life than the photos can replicate.

The V4's certainly have that superbike chic look.
I'm glad they went with the single sided swingarm.

Hi guys I really enjoyed the NEC and it was great to see the Norton stand .
I met Simon the tech and he was great to chat to as my domi has been off the road with problems for 12 weeks !
He made a lot of sense , I just want it sorted now with no more oil leaks and stalling at the lights .
I need to fall back in love with it ready for some miles next year !!!

As Garry said we are on the stand happy to chat,

On nearly all 9 days of the show we have Stuart Garner (CEO and Owner) and Simon Skinner (Head of Design / Executive Director) on their feet n the middle of all the action happy to chat and answer any questions. On top of that, myself and some of the other Senior Engineers are rotating round, again happy to chat. Highlighted quite nicely by GLB's photo of Stuart (CEO) and Mark (Senior Engineer who has done a lot of the CAD work on the V4) stood in the middle of the stand chatting to a show goer.

Just got back from the NEC show and what a fabulous bike they have produced could not get near the bikes as people were only interested in the Norton stand. Stewart was there talking to people as were the rest of the Norton team, good luck for the future. The engine looked a good and very compact lets hope everything goes well for them at Donnington. :D

I managed to get to the NEC today, the Norton stand was certainly very popular and busy!

The new V4 turbo nutter bikes certainly look impressive from an engineering perspective, as do all the other turbo nutter bikes.

I couldn't do 200bhp justice though. Neither could I afford one even if I wanted one!

But the 'classic' 961 range still caught my eye the most...

I waited more then 2 1/2 years for my 961 and would do so again in a heartbeat. This coming from a man with absolutely no patience!!!

Hopefully the smoke will be from the back tyres and the mirrors, the bodywork, looks brilliant, keep up the good work Norton and show the doubters, though not sure how much you will have to do to manage that.
