The making of my new one off tank for my Seeley

Hello there,
Here are the pics of my new one off tank for my Seeley
The capacity from my original Seeley was to small
The big tank I found had a good capacity but was ugly to me
So I decide to ask Frank Breuigelmans from "Streug Metal Shop" here in Belgium, to make a new one for me, with high capacity and the design from the MV Agusta 750 S
Frank is a real magician with aluminium works, the aluminium He use is "Made in the USA" and from the higest quality
The second step will be polishing a part of the tank, the other part will be painted with the same colors as my fairing and seat by my friend Pierre Van Ginneke, he is the one thet painted the helmets from Senna, Schumaker and a lot of other Formula one pilots
I keep you posted for the second step soon

All that shine would have to be the same as adding 5 BHP to the motor.
Hi Acotrel,
Don't worry about the BHP of my bile, I have more as enough.
Wath I know: keep you bike clean and shiny equal keep your bike healty
Also, my engine is very clean inside to
I like to polish aluminium, thats my trip and my choice
BTW I ride an average of 10.000 km / year
A lot of tanks to everybody that like my bike
This WE I spend 6 hours to clean and prepare the tank with sand peper, tomorrow I will polish it with my 8 HP polishing machine
I donk think that I will make some paint job on the tank, the aluminium "made in the USA" is from the best quality and will be very shiny after polmishing
On the pic the tank must go more forwart on the frame and with the top fairing on the bike, the tank don't look so hight
Send you other pics when the job is finish
Regards
Yves

Check out Por15. Comstock recommends.

I've never used it on an aluminum tank -but it works pretty well on polished engine cases. Jim

Once the tank polished I use "All Metal Polish" from Maiguard

Pore 15 makes Glisten. It's a tenuous clearcoat paint designed to coat polished finishes so they stay shiny. Jim

So far I don't have good results with clearcoat and you don't find Pore 15 here in Belgium, you must know that Belgium is a strange country, somedays whe have electricity, but not on the chairs, this is typical to the States like Pore 15

My painter here has used it on polished Duc tanks, and he rates it highly.
