The Kannenberg Collection Auction

a bunch partyin high dollar rollers over bid everything, I guess just for fun. All the bikes were nonrunners with unknown history( except for a very few )

1.5 to 3 times market prices

All the bikes were nonrunners with unknown history( except for a very few )
"nonrunner" being a RELATIVE term.

There are rolling basket cases that are "nonrunners", that would require overhauling the engine and rebuilding most of the rest of the bike with new wear parts.

There are, on the other hand, stored bikes that are "nonrunners" with virtually zero miles and could easily run with minor "freshening up" of any perished rubber bits, a proper flushing of some residual lubricants, and a fresh battery that would then be worth the high end (or more) of that particular model's price range.

...and, of course, there is everything in between when it comes to "nonrunners"...

and that of course is the point, there was no way of knowing what kind of "non-runner" they were . So do you bid on one hand or the other?

I don't bid period.

I've been in "selling" mode since I broke my leg last November. Still need to sell 5 or 6 more bikes, although it isn't "critical", just that I'll never get around to converting some of them from "nonrunners", if you'll pardon the very appropriate use of the word...
