The good old days?
Yup, back when there wasn't much loose change in their pockets they would buy a "BLEM" two different size whitewalls didn't matter, the pedestrians could only see one side at a time.
Can you imagine the polish posers doing that today.
The good old days?

Whatever it takes to get some weight over the wheel.
The good old days?

When I was a kid in Australia in the 1950s, you could buy a 1940s Indian 1200 or a Velocette for about 12 pounds. But a new Manx Norton cost about 500 pounds. How much do you think we earned each week ?

Yes tell us how much you earned. Biggest flaw in figuring value of any currency at any time is pay scale is rarely included.

Not only tires to miss from back in the day , I miss it all , can you imagine thumbing your way around as a student today , talking to strangers just to pass the time , going for a walk in the woods with no objective ( well maybe keeping an eye out for sign) giving a lift to hitch hikers , and countless other activities we did just for the hell of it …. I paid cash as usual this morning at Duc club coffee , poor girl was challenged to break a $20 when I refused her payment machine

I like to ask the youngsters: "Do you accept cash?" With a very serious expression

I really bummed her out , she hadn’t even really looked up from her machine to notice I had cash … told her I was a Dino , gave me a blank look 🧐
