The Australian economy

If that is true Al then why are so many Victorians and NSW people moving up to the Sunshine state to live, yes we still have our dickhead politicians, have the best weather with very mild winters, very friendly folks up here, less Covid problems than what has happened down south as well we don't have a state Premier who hasn't got their hands in the Chinese GOVT back pocket with secret back room deals and I would have a lot more reasons why they want to live in Queensland, so really you think you live in the best state in Australia then why so many moving out of your state to live in a back wood state of Queensland, yes all you southerners put sh.t on us back wood Queenslanders but you all want to live up here.
So Al its about time you woke up and open your eyes up in what's happening in your real world.
Watch out Ash, they'll bring their voting habits with them and gradually change it into a mirror image of the place they moved from.(It's happening in Texas--it will go the way of Cali if left unchecked). - - although I currently live in Japan working on Uncle Sam's helicopters, I'm from Houston and my house and heart are there. Nothing better than home CJ, but you got to do what you need to do to feed the family and pay the bills, as for voting habits the fools keep voting the same people in even when they are doing the country bad, we have to many politicans in local, state and federal GOV for our small population, they are all over paid for what they do, to much allowances and a over paid super when they get kicked out, but then better than having no control or say.

Its the way we are us Aussies, we love to shit stir our fellow Aussies and yes we have thick skin up here as we need it to crush those big blue cockroaches with friendly rivialry between our states, its all good fun, and we like to shit stir POMs.
The ability to shit stir eachother is one of the great legacies left by the Brits, its something that for whatever reason never really caught on with some other nationalities like Americans for instance.
To be honest reading some of the comments I'm not seeing much evidence of a thick skin

Not to worry . Plenty enough thick heads to cover it .
Well I would certainly like to visit Australia and NZ. I have family in Melbourne descendants of my great uncle who emigrated in 1919. Retire next year so all being well can go the year after.

In Australia at present, it is almost impossible to find someone who will come and work on your house. The 10 million people who previously went overseas each to spend their money, are now staying in Australia. Property prices are booming. But casual workers do not benefit.
