Another 961 has been delivered. Mine is the black dual set Café Racer. The pictures on the web site don't do these bikes justice. The are much more impressive when you see them in person. I just got back from the dealers this morning. The stock pipes make it very quiet. So now I will be looking to purchase an aftermarket exhaust. I rode it just 6 miles as part of my break in procedure. I haven't taken above 3500 RPM yet. It's just fine with the clip-ons. Seems to handle great. I don't plan on taking this one to the track. This one will be used for burning up the back roads and overnight trips up in the mountains. At least now we know for sure these bike are actually on US soil in private hands at last!

Congratulations, I am jealous!

please keep us informed of every little detail!

your first picture posted is now my laptop background, thanks~

Yes Sir gotta admit Kenny Dreer had a good sense of style they kept so should be center of attention as traditional.

I read somewhere that they have now turned things profitable, which is decent. I think Triumph took a lot longer to get there. Different route tho, Triumph went at the competition head on for price and performance, Norton has gone the boutique route, for now, anyway.

Thanks, rode it about 70 miles so far. No leaks or problems yet!

70 miles and no leaks? Wow, you must have gotten a winner there.

Seriously, what were you expecting. I can almost understand why you might wake up in a sweat, running out to the garage to see if there was any evidence under the bike, but these are differant bikes. Don't let the name cause you any undue alarm. No XS valve needed. You'll be fine. There is only 2 things you need to do, Inhale and exhale. If you do those 2 thing, the rest will take care of itself.

Enjoy, and I do mean, ENJOY the new bike.

Awesome bike!

Love it although I don't think I could deal with that riding position for long (old man syndrom).

Beautiful!

Were black rims an option?

The 961 SF and SE have Black Chrome and Black Carbon wheels respectively. I believe there will only be 50 SE models ( carbon wheels ) imported to the US and all are Pre-sold. I am told you can get the carbon wheels as an accessory from the distributor!

There are 2 models ( SF and Sport ) that do not have clip ons! The Cafe Racer model ( dual seat shown ) has clip ons. I believe my SF is comfortable enough to ride the tank dry though the weather has not allowed me to prove it yet !

On man! I'm dying here. I ordered a red or black dual seat Sport. Maybe it will come by Feb. That's a really beautiful ride ya got there. I could have had a black single seater immediately but I'm holding out for what I really want. (it IS a chick magnet, after all 8) )

Sweet ride, man. Good fit on the rear seat cowl. I'm waiting for a 2 seat sport myself here in NY. A few bikes delivered and sold already. Expecting mine in Feb. Sure hope it gets here. I'm dying here. drooooooooool
