Can anyone tell me of a way to remove tank and side panel transfers without damaging the paint ?

Heat gun (careful) or hair dryer to heat then peel off the plastic. "Goop" waterless handcleaner - the no pumice version - to remove any glue residue.

i knew a guy who had a little wheel that went into a drill chuck, you could run that along to remove stuff, i saw him use it to remove vinyl pin striping from a truck. I cant say how 100% paint safe it is, but thats what it was made to do. I think he got it from eastwood or somewhere like that. I want to say it was called a gummy wheel or something like that.

I've wondered the same thing and have thought about trying to remove them. My bike is a bit off white and the decals are grey. I would like to remove them and put a stark black one in their place. Of course I am concerned that the replacements would not be the same size and if there is fading of any exposed paint, it would look like shite.

I like the heat/steam ideas.

How about steam.
I have a wallpaper steamer, I might just give that a wee go !
It's just a suggestion so be careful. Probably as safe as anything.

Maybe running boiling water over a towel that is draped accross the area.
