I have a T140
It has a ribbed rear drum brake What I want to know is are the ribs tops raw/polished and just all black
Cheers

Drum rear T140 would be only two years 73 and 74. All those drums/hubs are polished no
ribs. Did I miss something here?

Could be a conical hub fitted with one of the Manx Norton dress up finned kits I guess?
Or maybe a very late t65 triumph Thunderbird they made in the 80s
That had a drum rear brake
Can't remember if it was finned or not?

Yes, it was TR65T, TR7T and on the RH side of the wheel.

(T65 was the 1973 BSA badged TR6 'Thunderbolt')

I can't see that material taking a shine, rust yes.

That is a 1981/2 Triumph TR7T and looks to be the same as the one in the British Spares link in Post #8.

(Off topic, I had a 1973 T140 in the mid 1980's, first 5 speed with disc front brake iirc)

The backing plate looks very much like that off my 1974 Triumph TR5T which of course is a BSA rolling chassis based off the B50 with a factory fit late model T100C type engine.
That finned drum looks BSA derived also.
