My wife would never get on a motorbike, anywhere. Yet, some are happy to ride round the Isle of Man within an inch of kerbs, stone walls and lampposts at well over 150mph. We all see risk differently. Whatever makes you happy.
Seriously! These are totally different scenarios. Do you ride through a city at 110 mph? Of course not.
A sensible rider will try to avoid heavy rush hour traffic on motorways / multiple lane highways, IMHO.
Great caution is required in both cases.
A maniac! Really? If you fill your life with "what ifs" you wouldn't do anything
I'd say that's far safer than some of the roads that I have dealt with on a bike
Give the M25 a try in rush hour traffic
Or ride through any big city
Motorcycling is all about minimising risks to a tolerable level. Tolerable to whom ? Would your wife like you speeding through a forest full of deer ? My wife does not want me to race again - I have to respect that. So I need to moderate my behaviour.

Best stay in bed and never go out then mate
If it were a choice between sitting in the house miserable or taking my chances riding through a forest full of deer I know where I'd be
And I know where she would want me to be

Yes it is the Harz L504 from Torfhaus to Altenau. He appears to ride those roads all the time, one of the commando videos is the same road.
He has chronometric instruments on the new vid where he had magnetic on the older one. One of his comments in German he is going to do a vid on the bike itself this year. Interesting.
