Sump Plug Removal

Metrinch worked on rounded off fasteners nothing else would fit. Note they are not SnapOn so do not replace lost sockets like the one I either kicked into grass or pack rats replaced with acorns.

I Also needed SAE & Metric to fit everything encountered on my 2 72s

You have probably got it out by now. I use a 1 1/2" six point impact socket. Even though the hex is rather deeply recessed in order to strengthen the impact type socket (Matco), it still grabs the plug quite well. For a buggered up plug like yours you may have to take a Harbor Freight cheapie and grind it down to get max contact.

Sorry on the 1-7/16ths guess. I was on the road and trying to remember about where in the tray I picked it from. I was removing the plug regularly when my MKIII anti wet sump valve was sticking open.
