"Street Legal"?

I remember back in the late 70s my friend Scott was getting his 450 Desmo inspected for rego at the local police station, I took it on the back on my ute (pickup truck to most), the copper told us to unload it off the ute, the Desmo had a megaphone exhaust pipe and Scotty had a big pile of chicken wire stuffed into the exhasut pipe to quiten it down, the copper came over ask to start the bike, when it was running the copper held open the throttle to hear how loud it was, all of a sudden the chicken wire blew out of the pipe to a loud noise, I started pissing myself with laughter, the copper wasn't amused but told my friend to fix it proper but he gave it a pass, Scotty never did fix it, he was killed on that bike in the late 80s, but man could he ride it.

My guy here in St. Louis will pass your bike on inspection if you manage to ride it to his shop. All he does is write your VIN on the paper, put the sticker on your bike, and you ride away. He says if you can get it to his shop, he'll pass it.

A while back, where I was required cars to undergo a handbrake test - with a little machine that recorded decceleration, and printed a little graph.
Since this took a while to setup and do, the testing stations were doing them in advance, with a good car, to save time !!
Just pick one off the shelf, write your details on it, and initial it...

Nice looking Seeley on evilpay.

Fuel tank has to go, however.

Is that really 1962 ????

Wonder if that could be made legal for the road ??
What would it take ?
