My bike usually was good for 82 MPH at 5K. I just clicked over 2000 mi. and I'm running 82 MPH at 4800. Could it be a next phase in the break in or could it be I tightened the idle motor bolts? Either way, I'm happy with the results. Oh...or could my speedo be correcting itself. I never though it was accurate because I doubt everyone on Long Island is doing 75. (however, I seriously doubt the latter, shows a little faster than actual)

Another fun feature of the 961.
Maybe a bug in the ECU?

On my bike at an indicated 90MPH, the tach shows 5400 RPM.
So an indicated 82MPH should be 4920 RPM.

3000 rpm = 50 mph
4000 rpm = 67 mph
5000 rpm = 84 mph
6000 rpm = 101 mph = I have been here several times during my oil dip stick testing
7000 rpm = 118 mph = I have been here twice
8000 rpm = 135 mph = not yet , but will do it.

TonyA. Had mine up to 124 with plenty of room to spare. Didn't bother trying to check my tach. Too busy watching the road.
