We have a similar unfair system here - first past the post - resulting in the government being elected on a minority of the vote. Johnson has a significant majority in Parliament of 80 seats but only 44% voted Conservative on a turn out of 67% meaning only 29.5% of eligible voters voted for the new government. With 70% not voting for the Govt there is a lot of scope for people to be disenchanted - much the same as in the USA.The system needs to change or we will continue to be represented by those who achieve a minority of the vote, whether they are good or bad.
