When I first got my 2013 Sport, it would stall from time to time, even when it was warm. It would also stall a few times when starting from cold. At the first service, I had the louder pipes installed and that included a remap. After remap, the bike ran smoother and didn't stall at all, except when first starting when cold. Now at about 1200 miles, the bike is stalling a lot when it is warm. Sometimes it idles quite smoothly at about 1200-1300 rpm and other times it will stall at stop signs and red lights. Aside from the fact that this problem makes me look like a real tyro, it is a major pain when driving in urban areas.

Does anyone have this problem with their 961. Can anything be dome about it? Can the idle be turned up without a remap?

I would estimate that it stalls about 1 in 5 times when travelling in stop and go conditions!

You can turn up your idle with a 1.5 mm allen wrench on the right side where the throttle cables end. Look for the stop, you will see the adjustment screw! Takes about 10 seconds!

The Spanish Norton mechanic said that the idle was set low to get it past emissions regulations. The fix as said is to increase the idle speed.
Let us know if that works.

My 961 takes a few minutes to warm up after that it will tick over nice and doesn't stall, as has already been said just adjust the M4 grub screw on the throttle mechanism to speed up tick over it only take seconds to do and you don't need to remap. Standard tick over is 1200rpm +/- 100 but I have mine a bit higher and it never stalls.

Thanks for all the help. I will try that. I was concerned that I couldn't adjust the idle without a remap! :)

I took the bike back to Norton Canada and they remapped it with a new map they received from Norton UK in Sept 2014. It is now running fine with no stalling.
