Who likes theirs? I see the ones at RGM but don't like the looks, plus they're pretty pricey. Anyone using the Rocky Point ones, I think he has some. Any other options other than the single piece fluted ones, I haven't seen them around in a while and I think they're a little blingy. I don't mind the stainless, but I like to keep the 'original look'. I've come into a bit of cash and the RMD happens this year too.

Buy the single piece alloy plain covers and spend the savings on silicon gasket set and polished SS fasteners and maybe a oil pressure gauge tap on one side. A tube or two of Hylomar not a bad idea lightening wallet to please ya a while longer too.

I have the eurojam ones and they are pretty nice. The socket head cap screws they sell are too long by about a 1/16". Either grind them down or order chrome ones from McMaster Carr at the factory length. I also had to put a dab of permatex on the threads to stop them from weeping oil

I like steel, particularly the oems, because of their stiffness. Bringing these up to torque will not warp or flex them maintaining a good seal. This is a critical seal point under the high pressue end of the system. If I went with a one piece, I would go with a SS at least otherwise maybe a brand new set of OEMs, all shiny and chrome.

The alloy may work and many will say so i am sure, but it's my comfort level, not theirs.

See my thread on "Exxon Valdez Moment" You can't torque the ss ones to the recommended 100 inch/#'s without them flexing. This will cause the gaskets to split and bulge. That is the 2 piece type anyway. Not sure about the one piece.

Those EJ don't look bad. I've already got the SS button head bolts, I got the SS banjos for the oil lines from Clubman too. The plating I put on them and the covers just didn't hold up. Yeah, another $15 ounce of Hylomar will probably keep them clean. Too bad the acetone evaporates out of it not long after opening.

An oil tap off one would be handy. Where do you get that?

If I buy the ones with NYC Norton machined into them, will my bike go as fast as Kenny's ?
